  • BucksApp is a financial technology company that focuses on proving financial services to college/university students in the United States.

  • Cash advances. A student will be able to borrow up to $200. The student can repay the amount selected in equal installment payments to up to 120 days.

  • BucksApp will deposit the amount selected directly to the bank account linked to the app. As for the repayment or collection of payments, BucksApp will do so through automatic debit from the same account.

  • Currently, the company only operates in Florida, United States.

  • College/University Students that meet the following requirements:

    1. Is 18 years or older.
    2. Has a valid college/university email.
    3. Has a bank account in the United States.
    4. Has a valid U.S. Social Security Number.
    5. Has a valid Florida State address.
  • Dwolla is a powerful payments platform that securely connects to bank or credit union accounts to enable the transfer of money for any individual or organization in the U.S.

  • If you send the advance request before 12:00 PM EST on a business day, you should receive the transfer before 6:00 PM EST on the same business day. If you send the advance request after 12:00 PM EST on a business day, you should receive it the next business day between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM EST.
    Please note that:
    * Transfers take longer to complete if over a weekend or a holiday.
    * Transfer times vary depending on banks.

  • Sometimes transactions to or from a bank or credit union can fail. Here are a few reasons why a transaction can fail:
    - Insufficient funds: There are insufficient funds in the sending bank or credit union account to complete the transaction.
    - Frozen account: A bank or credit union account has been frozen.
    - Other reasons: A bank or credit union rejects the transaction for some other reason.
    If a transaction fails, please contact your bank or credit union to check on the status of your account. Then either re-initiate the transaction or ask your financial institution why the transaction may not be processed.

  • Yes, you can cancel automatic withdrawals or revoke your prior authorization for automatic withdrawals by notifying your financial institution at least three (3) banking days before the scheduled date of transfer. You must also notify us at support@bucksapp.co at least three (3) banking days before the scheduled date of transfer.

  • Yes, the steps to do this depend on whether you have an advance payment pending or not.
    (1) If Advance Payment Pending- you must go to “Contact Us” in the main menu and email us that you need to change your bank account. We will then manually remove your bank account in “My Profile”.
    (2) No Advance Payment Pending- Go to Main Menu - My Profile - select edit bank account.

  • We evaluate your advance application on the following considerations:
    Bank account age (at least 3 months old), Bank account balance, Number of Returned checks or Insufficient Funds Fees, Existence of deposits and withdrawals from other lenders, Previous loan repayment history with BucksApp, Monthly Cash Flow analysis, and Valid identification information.

    We attempt to move as quickly as possible based on our hours:
    If you send the advance request before 12:00 PM EST, you should receive the transfer before 6:00 PM EST. If you send the advance request after 12:00 PM EST, you should receive it the next day between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM EST.

Pricing

  •  We offer low and transparent fees:

    • Amount borrowed: Money amount that you receive from BucksApp with the agreement that it will be repaid.
    • Interest: Charge for the privilege of borrowing money.
    • Transfer fee: Charge to transfer the money from BucksApp to your bank account.
    • Origination fee: One time fee that covers the cost of processing the advance.
    • Tax amount: The percentage at which you are being taxed.

  • To BucksApp, a late payment is any payment that is unsuccessful or 14+ days from the dates agreed upon in your advance agreement. 

    Late payments (14+ days):

    • Late payment fees will apply + It may affect our ability to lend to you in the future.
      • To the credit bureaus, a late payment is any payment made 30+ days from the dates agreed upon in your advance agreement.
